Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez say they are staying together — despite reports of their split.
The couple just released a statement on Saturday (March 13), just a day after several sources confirmed that they had called off their engagement after four years together.
“We are working through some things,” Jennifer and Alex told People in the statement.
A source spoke to the outlet to explain what Jennifer and Alex are going through in their relationship right now.
“They never officially broke up and talked about it but are still together. They hit a rough patch. But were not broken up,” a source told People.
There was a lot of speculation that Alex’s rumored affair with Southern Charm star Madison LeCroy was the reason for the split, but the source says that the rumors “had no bearing on the rough patch at all.”
The source added, “She’s working in the Dominican Republic and he’s in Miami so it’s tough seeing each other especially with quarantining and COVID, but they want to try to stay together.”
