Bishop Eddie Long returned to pulpit of Georgia’s New Birth Missionary Baptist Church after being away for weeks, but his new appearance has many in his congregation concerned for his health.
Earlier this year, it was reported that Eddie was hospitalized with a ‘grave’ illness (an alleged church member said he’s battling stomach cancer), however the executive administrator of New Birth released a statement saying in part, that Eddie had changed his diet, and had been healed by the grace of God.
Later, Bishop Long issued a statement on his own.
“I am recovering from a health challenge that I trust God to deliver me from,” he said. “It is unrelated to the eating for life diet consisting of mostly raw vegetables that I am continuing, as part of a holistic approach to good health. At this time my family and I are requesting that you respect our privacy. I truly appreciate your prayers and support for me, my loved ones and my beloved New Birth Church Family.”
