Michelle Williams’ “Say Yes” leaked earlier than expected — but that’s okay!
We love the song, and a lot of you do as well.
Michelle called in to The Yolanda Adams Morning Show to talk about the excitement surrounding the song and dished on her reaction to the song leaking online ahead of schedule.
She said:
It was kinda leaked by accident, but it kinda made everybody just have to be creative with the timeline and everything. It’s kinda like, it worked out. It really, really worked out and I’m so excited about it.
Things happen for a reason.I know as an artist Yolanda, I know you would be terrified if your music got leaked and then it turned around and worked out anyway.
Yolanda chimed in:
Oh yeah! Sometimes God does things in a different way to show the industry that you don’t know the trends, you don’t know exactly how things are gonna go. Just let go and let God.
Michelle continued:
When I tell you I literally what I had to do mentally and emotionally because I was about to lose it like “Oh my god this song is important to me what happened?!” But it worked out and I’m so excited!
And that’s a lesson for everyone — sometimes in life you really do just have to let go and let God!
