Madonna is looking to expand her family — and she’s traveling back to Malawi to do so.
According to reports, the 58-year-old has filed documents in Malawi to adopt two more children. She was there in court on Wednesday.
Back in 2008, Madonna adopted son David from the country followed by her daughter Mercy a year later. She’s also founded her own charity, Raising Malawi, in 2006.
Update: Madonna has clarified the adoption rumors.
“I am in Malawi to check on the children’s hospital in Blantyre and my other work with Raising Malawi and then heading home,” she told People. “The rumors of an adoption process are untrue.”
Malawi government spokesman Mlenga Mvula had apparently confirmed the reports that Madonna was in front of a judge and awaiting permission, but it appears as if this is not the case.
