Kordell Stewart might be taking his recent matchmaker visit seriously.
He stopped by the Tom Joyner Morning Show to finally address rumors that he’d been involved with fellow reality star Towanda Braxton.
“Towanda Braxton is a very nice lady. I had the opportunity to meet her and … no, we’re not dating,” Kordell said.
The dating rumors first began after he was spotted with Towanda at the Atlanta premiere of Grudge Match in December.
“As you see on the blogs, we were at an event,” the former Pittsburgh Steeler said. “We took a picture together, and it just shot off from there. [Towanda] is a nice lady. I got the opportunity to meet her,” he said when asked if they’d gone on at least one date.
“She’s cool people, but I got a lot going on over here: My relationship is parenthood.”
Kordell went on to explain that his focus is on his son Syre, with ex-girlfriend Tania Richardson — while touching ever so slightly on those persistent rumors.
“All kind of rumors have been out there for a long, long time. I’ve cleared up one but my commitment, and my relationship is truly with parenthood and raising my son. I’ve gone through a relationship and we’ve seen that relationship spiral downhill.
“To invest in a relationship at this time, I don’t think it would be helpful for my son.”
If they never dated, we wonder why Towanda made it seem like more than what it was…?
