Donald Trump couldn’t get a meeting with one Kim, but he got a meeting with another.
Kim Kardashian met with Donald Trump today on her quest to get Alice Marie Johnson released from prison. Alice, a 62-year-old great-grandmother was handed a life sentence without parole for a first-time nonviolent drug offense.
She’s been behind bars for more than 20 years.

Kardashian West has been a vocal advocate for the 62-year-old great mother ever since Mic profiled her in a video piece in October 2017. Since then, Kardashian has been working toward Johnson’s release and has even enlisted the help of her personal attorney, Shawn Chapman Holley.
“I’ve been in communication with the White House and trying to bring her case to the President’s desk and figure out how we can get her out,” Kardashian West told Mic earlier this month.
“That’s such a huge step from where we started with that not even being on their radar.”
White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders confirmed “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star’s visit during her daily press briefing, promising to provide additional details on “any meetings that take place and what those look like.”
Kim took to Twitter to thank Trump for his time.
I would like to thank President Trump for his time this afternoon. It is our hope that the President will grant clemency to Ms. Alice Marie Johnson who is serving a life sentence for a first-time, non-violent drug offense.

We are optimistic about Ms. Johnson’s future and hopeful that she —and so many like her—will get a second chance at life.
