After the lackluster commercial success of 2010’s brilliant Flesh Tone, I was afraid that we wouldn’t get a new studio release from Kelis for quite some time. It’s 2012, and Kelis is back! Take a listen to her new single “Distance” below.

It’s an emotional dance record…and for those of you who know me personally, you know that I absolutely LOVE a good emotional dance record. This is more trip-hop though. I love it! Her vocals sound great…
