There hasn’t been too much public support of Bill Cosby in the wake of the dozens of old & new rape allegations against him — but Mr. Cosby does have supporters.
One of whom, is Jill Scott.
Jill took to Twitter to defend Bill Cosby — who, earlier this year, presented her with her honorary degree from Temple University. She said in so many words that until there’s proof in a court of law, she’s not believing anything she reads.
Check out a few of her responses:
@curlyheadRED shame? Mr. Cosby's allegation are on two major mags if not more but he's not charged and there's no proof.

@JasBaileyTweets sides with Mr. Cosby? No. I side with substantiated proof when media/society is attempting to destroy a magnificent Legacy

@SimplyBerry darling I've learned not to believe too much without proof. Especially about someone whose done so much for our greater good.

@KristensWay I'm respecting a man who has done more for the image of Brown people that almost anyone EVER. From Fat Albert to the Huxtables

@KristensWay @CandyCornball it's hearsay in a court of law. Tis all. Trust. If this is true, he'll face his due just like everyone.

We love Jill, but it’s hard for us to get down with victim blaming/shaming.
