Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez are attempting to clear up their troubles and are back together thanks to a frank, heart-to-heart talk last Friday night and a weekend spent together in the Dominican Republic, sources said.

“They had a great couple days in the DR,” a source exclusively told Page Six. “They continue to work through things. That’s the status quo right now. They’re together.”

Though sources had said last Friday that the on-again, off-again celebrity couple had decided to cancel their wedding plans and end their relationship, the Yankees slugger and pop diva took one more swing at love in the wee hours of that evening.

The glamorous duo had an all-night talk, sources said, and by Saturday had made enough progress that they issued a statement saying they were not split up and were “working through some things.”

The 45-year-old third baseman then jetted off to the Dominican Republic on Sunday to see Lopez in person. Photos have emerged that show her greeting him with a kiss.

“Whatever happened on Friday, they since spoke through the night, have seen each other, and are working things out — as of today they’re together,” a source familiar with the couple told Page Six Wednesday.

“That’s where they are today. Whatever bump in the road, they decided that they were going to try and work things through.”

We reported that leading up to the split, Lopez had “recently been very upset on the set” of her film, “Shotgun Wedding,” and that “for the last two weeks they have not been together and the last few days they were not good … They’ve been having some crazy issues.”

Sources told us that the distance between the stars in recent weeks had led to the breakup, and that they’d previously been spending more time together in a pandemic bubble.

“If it works out, and they do stay together, it was kind of the perfect storm — it was COVID, it was her being away, they were working on things,” a source said Wednesday.

Lopez, 51, had previously revealed that the couple went into therapy during the pandemic.

“They were together for 300 days in a row, and now this is her first film away. You’ve been locked in the house for 300 days. They’ve been together the entire time,” a source added.

But after the weekend of drama, it was back to work for Lopez — as Rodriguez returned to Miami. Sources exclusively told us on Wednesday that Lopez is focusing on her film, after Rodriguez made the trip to see her amid their relationship issues.

“They are in heavy filming right now, from first thing in the morning, ’til late at night,” said another source. A different source added of her schedule: “She shoots like 14 hours a day. Which gives them a few hours to hang out” when she’s working.

Multiple sources also told us that Rodriguez hopped a flight back to Miami.

On Sunday, when the ex-Yankees star jumped on a private jet to the Dominican Republic, he posted pictures to Instagram making the trip.

“Happy Monday. New week. New day. Onward. Upward,” he wrote beside the image.

On Friday, they’d been prepping to tell their kids about the breakup, we’re told, and sources said they’d been exploring how to divide their assets.

A source told Page Six on Saturday, “Could they have a change of heart? Page Six might be responsible for bringing them back together.”

The duo postponed their wedding twice due to the pandemic. Lopez shares 12-year-old twins Emme and Max with ex-husband Marc Anthony, while Rodriguez is the dad of two daughters, Natasha and Ella, with ex Cynthia Scurtis, and they also own various properties together.

Sources had previously told Page Six that Lopez was still working on her wedding dress as recently as last week. They’d also made plans for two weddings — in Italy and the Hamptons — before calling off both lavish affairs, we reported.

But it remains to be seen whether the pair will eventually walk down the aisle together. Lopez and Rodriguez got engaged in March 2019, after they started dating in 2017.

Also adding to the stress on the couple, rumors have swirled about the nature of Rodriguez’s relationship with “Southern Charm” star Madison LeCroy.

LeCroy told Page Six that she’d never been physical with A-Rod — and that they’d only been in touch via phone. “He’s never physically cheated on his fiancée with me,” she said, adding that their exchanges were “innocent.”

A source close to the former Yankee told The Post, “He doesn’t know this woman … Look, does this mean he didn’t DM her and liked a photo or two? I guess not, but he doesn’t know her — and he definitely didn’t hook up with her.”

We’re rooting for them to make it work.
