Rumors of an open marriage have long followed Will and Jada Pinkett Smith, and in a new interview with Howard Stern, Jada fanned the flames of those rumors with her frank remarks.
At one point during the interview, Howard recalled a particular statement that Jada once made to Oprah Winfrey (“If Will wants to go out with another women, go ahead, but as long as he can look at himself in the mirror and know that he’s okay.”), and Jada responded to Howard with the following:
“Here’s the deal about that, Howard. You know, you’ve gotta trust who you’re with, and at the end of the day, right, I’m not here to be anybody’s watcher. I’m not his watcher. He’s a grown man.”
She continued.
“And here’s what I trust: I trust that the man that Will is, is a man of integrity. So, he’s got all the freedom in the world. He’s got all the freedom in the world, and as long as Will can look himself in the mirror and be okay, I’m good.”
From where we’re sitting, it simply sounds like Jada trusts her husband.
Jada also admitted during the interview to being “too damn young” when she married Will at 25.
