Hold Up: 'Tales From the Crypt' Is Returning...But Without the Crypt Keeper?

Remember the other day when we told you that M. Night Shyamalan is bringing back HBO classic Tales From the Crypt to TNT?

Well, it IS happening…but according to reports the new series will NOT feature the Crypt Keeper because HBO owns the rights.

According to Bloody Disgusting, the Crypt Keeper is out and instead the series will be highlighted by an old man with a can, wearing a hood, and keeping warm by the fireplace — which falls in line with the original comic.

John Kassir, the man who voiced the Crypt Keeper took to Twitter to share his thoughts.

I'll go on record, "Crypt Keeper as we know him is more popular than ever & it'd be a sham/shame not to have him host the show!!!!!

If they don’t bring back the Crypt Keeper, they might as well cancel the show.
