Former Minnesota Police Officer Derek Chauvin Arrested for the Murder of George Floyd

After days of riots, police officer Derek Chauvin has been arrested and taken into custody for the murder of George Floyd.

Derek Chauvin is the officer seen in the video of George’s murder with his knee on Floyd’s neck.

Prior to his firing, he had been with Minneapolis police for 19 years.
