Filming is underway in Atlanta for the long-awaited Tupac Shakur biopic, All Eyez On Me.
As you may know, John Singleton was to direct the flick but stepped down and has since been replaced by Benny Boom.
Filming is now underway for the long-awaited Tupac Shakur biopic #AllEyezOnMe. For the film, actor Marrc Rose (who also played 2Pac in ‘Straight Outta Compton’) hit the stage to give the crowd a performance of Tupac’s “California Love.” Check out more photos of Marcc in character and find out more about the film on lovebscott.com.
In this first look, actor Demetrius Shipp, Jr. transforms into the late rapper in the film that chronicles the life and legacy of the hip-hop icon.
‘Straight Outta Compton’ definitely set the hip-hop biopic bar pretty high…let’s hope Benny Boom & co. can knock this out of the park! Tupac’s legacy deserves it.
[Thanks Ash Yeezy! Editor’s Note: A previous version of this post stated Marcc Rose, the same actor who played Tupac in ‘Straight Outta Compton’ was the actor playing Tupac in this film. It has been updated to reflect the correct casting]
