Gabrielle Union’s firing amid allegations of sexism and racism have triggered both an internal and external investigation into history of ‘America’s Got Talent’ and NBC.
NBC sources exclusively tell www.lovebscott.com:
“Other news organizations already started a deeper dive into the history of the show and Simon and NBC tying it into Matt Lauer, etc. The NBC News group has multiple lawsuits. Ronan Farrow and some other journalists have been reporting.”
As we previously reported, NBC sources exclusively told www.lovebscott.com that Gabrielle Union’s firing came as a result of her speaking up about ‘problematic’ situations.
NBC reached out to www.lovebscott.com in the wake of the initial allegations and provided the following statement on behalf of the network and Fremantle:
“America’s Got Talent has a long history of inclusivity and diversity in both our talent and the acts championed by the show. The judging and host line-up has been regularly refreshed over the years and that is one of the reasons for AGT’s enduring popularity. NBC and the producers take any issues on set seriously.”
When asked about the internal / external investigation, NBC declined to comment.
