Exclusive: 'Empire' Writers Frustrated with Jussie Smollett's Absence + Bryshere Gray Reduced to Limited Episodes Due to 'Difficulties'

‘Empire’ writers are not happy with the firing of Jussie Smollett.

Even though the actor is NOT coming back, production sources exclusively tell lovebscott.com that the writing room is ‘frustrated’ that they can’t move forward with Jussie’s character Jamal’s storyline.

“They can’t fill the hole [Jamal’s] departure leaves with Hakeem because the actor is going through some personal difficulties.”

The actor they’re referring to is Bryshere Gray. As you’ve seen, he’s made some rather unfavorable headlines recently that seem to be spilling into his professional life.

“[Bryshere] can only be in a limited number of episodes this season. All production really has to work with are Cookie, Lucious, and Andre.”

Well..it IS the show’s last season. It’s unfortunate it’s going out on such a low note.
