Brandon Marshall of the Denver Broncos has joined Colin Kaepernick’s National Anthem protest — becoming the first player to do so during the regular season.
While the anthem played, Brandon took a knee on the sidelines.

The Broncos almost immediately released a statement saying they ‘understand’ Brandon’s decision.
“While we encourage members of our organization to stand during the National Anthem, we understand and respect it being a personal decision.”
With this coming Sunday being 9/11, it’ll be interesting to see what happens if/when players decide to protest the National Anthem on such a patriotic day.
