It looks like Daddy Yankee didn’t come out after all.
Reports affirmed the Puerto Rican artist had issued a statement from a gay nightclub where he allegedly admited he was gay and talked about some compromising pictures that supposedly show him with another man.
The Huffington Post contacted Daddy Yankee’s manager who completley denied the allegations and clarified the performer was just a victim of defamation.
“Once again social networks are the protagonists in spreading false news, which have been replicated by other media involving a public figure. The story that is circulating about Daddy Yankee’s homosexuality declaration is a false story written by an Internet portal as many others, dedicated to fabricate and disseminate news through social networks,” said Helga García, president of Perfect Partners Public Relations.
He also turned to his Twitter account to very diplomatically share a quote by Albert Einstein letting his fans know how he feels about the controversy.
