Cardi B stepped in to play Coretta Scott King in a skit for Rip Michaels’ show ‘Off the Rip’ — and it didn’t go over so well.
After seeing Cardi’s portrayal of her mother and references to her father, Dr. Bernice King — the youngest child of Martin Luther King Jr. and Coretta Scott King — responded calling it “repulsive” and “false.”
Bernice wanted to speak to Cardi face to face — and she did. She says Cardi has apologized for the skit and all is forgiven.
Thank you, @iamcardib, for reaching out to me and apologizing for the skit that aired on @TMZ. I look forward to talking with you soon.

As for the skit’s creator, Rip, he stands by his work and says all the blame pointed at Cardi is unfair because she didn’t write it.
