Former ‘Basketball Wives’ cast member Brandi Maxiell is in the hospital with a ‘severe’ case of COVID-19, according to family and friends.

Brandi’s friend and former fellow cast member, DJ Duffey, was the first to post about her condition.

She wrote on Instagram, “I need prayers for my sister @brandimaxiell [praying emoji] where ever you are right now just uplift her in prayer please.”

Brandi’s sister, Jayde Penn, also confirmed the news in a statement to TSR:

“My sister has been diagnosed with a severe case of COVID-19 and was hospitalized Thursday night after having trouble breathing. We would like to ask everyone to please keep her in your prayers as she continues to fight through this. We love you all and please stay safe!”

Brandi is considered high-risk as she battled ovarian cancer in 2007. She has been in remission since 2009.

We pray she pulls through!
