Unfortunately, the famous singer says the birth came with “minor complications.”
The ‘Backstreet Boys’ star took to Twitter announcing the birth of his third child on Thursday morning, after alarming his millions of followers the day before by posting a picture of himself in a hospital gown, saying, “Yes I’m a believer. I ask God to give us strength to protect mommy and baby.”
The 41-year-old singer confirmed the new baby had arrived but was unclear about the issues surrounding the baby and his wife’s health.
“We are proud to announce that our baby has officially arrived,” Carter wrote.
We are proud to announce that our baby has officially arrived. ??But as a parent knows all to very well, sometimes things don’t turn out the way you plan it. We have been experiencing some minor complications but things are looking a little better after the first night.

He continued, “But as a parent knows all too very well, sometimes things don’t turn out the way you plan it. We have been experiencing some minor complications but things are looking a little better after the first night.”
Adding, “I wanted to thank everyone for all the prayers and good thoughts during this time. We will keep you updated.”
The singer didn’t get into details about what is ailing the baby or his wife, but it appears the situation is getting better.
“You had us all so worried! Still praying! You and Lauren need to get some needed rest! Sending hugs n Love to you both and to baby’s brother and sister!!” a fan tweeted.
Another added, “The important thing is that you three are okay. There will be time to notify us. For now, I keep praying to God that everything goes well.”
Fans flooded the singer’s Twitter account with messages, like, “A little congrats to you, Lauren, and the children with the born of the new baby. Hopefully, in a couple of days everything going a little bit better, and next week you look back with a smile. Folded hands a lot for you, Lauren, and the new baby.”
In January, the singer and his wife spoke openly about preparing for their third child after suffering multiple miscarriages throughout the past few years.
“I was fully set on just having two children and I had prepared for that and made arrangements for that,” Lauren told People.
She continued, “We were going to have two children and it was a surprise. I didn’t find out I was pregnant till I was about five-and-a-half months pregnant. I didn’t have any symptoms; I didn’t have anything indicating that I was pregnant. One day I just — I felt something move in my body and I said, ‘Nick, there’s something not right. I think I need to go to the doctor. Something’s wrong with me.’ I was not supposed to be able to have any more children, so I never assumed that I was pregnant.”
Congratulations…And Get Well Soon!
