Aaliyah was honored with a Madame Tussauds wax figure in Las Vegas just last week and one fan decided the figure’s lips could use a little moisture.

The team behind the late singer’s Twitter account tweeted a photo of the original wax figure, alongside a photo of a fan applying lip gloss to the statue, and asked for “respect.”
“We ask kindly that anyone visiting the Aaliyah wax figure @TussaudsVegas please treat it with respect, this has been a lot of years of hard work by her fans petitioning and her family’s @RAD_6 support ! Below is inappropriate and unacceptable #TeamAaliyah,” the account tweeted.
Madame Tussauds told Page Six that fans are allowed to touch the figures and said in a statement: “Madame Tussauds is a unique experience where fans can come face to face with the stars and their idols. We take pride in ensuring all guests have an authentic experience and encourage guests to interact and have fun while being respectful. We do have in-attraction hosts on hand to guide guests through their experience and capture that perfect Instagram picture at all times.”
Well…at least the fan’s heart was in the right place. No one deserve ashy lips — not even a wax figure.
