Jay Z's 4:44 Mystery Has Been Solved -- It's a Movie Starring Mahershala Ali and Lupita Nyong'o from Tidal x Sprint [Video]

After mysterious 4:44 advertisements began popping up all over NYC and the internet earlier this week, rumors began circulating that they were related to a surprise Jay Z album release. They’re not.

During Wednesday night’s NBA Finals game 3, a teaser for an upcoming ‘4:44’ film premiered starring Mahershala Ali as a boxer, Lupita Nyong’o, and Danny Glover.

It’s unclear what the movie is actually about, but it is NC-17 and will premiere exclusively on Tidal. You can learn more about it here.
