The weekend will be here before you know it! Instead of rounding up the girls for another night on the town, grab the remote, get some snacks, and make this Friday night one to remember — thanks to Hulu!
Step One: Get comfortable
Since you’re staying in, there’s no need to spend hours trying to figure out what to wear. We like to throw on a pair of cozy sweatpants and a loose-fitting t-shirt when we’re watching TV — but find whatever makes you the most comfortable. That’s the most important part!
Step Two: Get some snacks
Nothing says Friday night & television like good old-fashioned popcorn. You can take things a step further by rounding out your selection with themed goodies. Have some cookies while watching “Cookie” on Empire or make a bowl full of just the ‘Lyon’ animal crackers. You could really have some fun here!
Don’t be afraid to get a little ‘cheesy’ with your selections. Oh, and WINE! Do not let anyone forget to bring the wine!
Step Three: Pick a show — or two
There are literally thousands of shows on Hulu. With Fall TV in full swing, it’s the perfect time to catch up on episodes you may have missed or to introduce friends to a show you love — like black-ish. We recommend you check out episode 23 from season 1, aptly titled “Elephant in the Room.”
In this episode’s uproarious opening scene, Andre Sr. scolds Andre Jr. for his decision to identity as Republican. Pure comedy, people! Banana Republic? Notary republic? You have to watch it to understand, and with election season underway, what’s more timely than a good ole debate about party politics?
If you’re all up for it, try picking something none of you have ever seen!
Step Four: Have fun
Watching TV with your friends can be super fun, but if you’re like us then you know funny moments can take over the night and you might miss an important scene or the majority of a show altogether. Don’t fret! Be in the moment and enjoy the laughs — with Hulu you can always stop the show and watch what you missed from anywhere.
