President Barack Obama awarded Oprah with the Medal of Freedom Award yesterday evening.
The award is the nation’s highest civilian honor, and was received by a few recipients including Oprah and former President Bill Clinton.
‘These are the men and women who in their extraordinary lives remind us of the beauty of the human spirit,’ Obama said at the White House, reports TIME.
These individuals were recognized for her meritorious contributions to the security or national interests of the United States, to world peace, or to cultural or other significant public or private endeavors.
The 59-year-old media mogul shared an adorable picture of her and her boo Stedman Graham on Thursday.
The caption read: ‘Medal of Freedom dinner last night with my HoneyGraham.’
