Newly crowned Miss Teen USA, Karlie Hay, went on ‘Good Morning America’ today to offer an apology for her n-word filled tweets from 2014.
The Miss Universe Organization is standing behind Karlie and her ‘mistakes’ — which Karlie says happened because she was just a 15-year-old girl who was influenced by her friends and the music she listens to.
Karlie says she’s ‘ashamed’ and ’embarrassed’ that she used the N-word and has learned that it’s not okay.
