Wanda Sykes Joins the Casts of ‘black-ish’ & ‘House of Lies'

Funny woman Wanda Sykes has joined the casts of ABC’s comedy series black-ish and Showtime’s House of Lies.

On black-ish, the comedy veteran will recur as Daphne Lido, the ex-wife of Stevens & Lido’s founding partner. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Wanda’s character gained control of half the company in her divorce and plans to be more active when it comes to company business.

On House of Lies, Wanda will play, well, Wanda, “a love interest for Jeremiah (Glynn Turman) who becomes a much-needed confidante for Marty (Don Cheadle) as he looks to ascend from management mogul to global power player” (Deadline). She will appear in at least three episodes.
