Update: 58 people are confirmed dead and more than 400 have been taken to the hospital with wounds following a deadly mass shooting in Las Vegas.
The gunman, 64-year-old Nevada resident Stephen Pollock, took aim at those attending an outdoor country music festival from a hotel room within the Mandalay Bay.
At least 10 assault rifles were found in his room. Police believe he killed himself before they got to him.
Police believe the shooter acted alone and has no ties to any international terrorist group.
