Two Police Unions Spreads False Rumors NYPD Officers Were Intentionally Poisoned By Shake Shack Employees, Investigation Clears the Restaurant of Any Wrongdoing

A few police officers at a New York Shake Shack thought their milkshakes tasted funny and believed employees may have tried to poison them.

They described the taste as bleach and were reportedly hospitalized.

As the incident made news, a letter was sent to members of different police unions making them aware of the situation.

Two police unions straight-up said their officers were ‘intentionally’ poisoned without any evidence pointing to such.

An investigation into the incident was launched overnight and and NYPD Chief of Detectives Rodney Harrison said Tuesday that basically nothing happened.

“After a thorough investigation by the NYPD’s Manhattan South investigators, it has been determined that there was no criminality by Shake Shack’s employees.”

The cops now suggest a cleaning solution used on the machines wasn’t rinsed off enough — explaining the funny taste in their drinks.

Did Shake Shack employees stop to clean the milkshake machine right before they made shakes for the three cops? If not, wouldn’t the solution have been rinsed off on any of the milkshakes that were made prior to theirs?

Sounds like a big ol’ lie to us. Both unions have since admitted their claims were wrong
