Police rushed to Lil Wayne’s Miami mansion this afternoon after receiving a call that shots had been fired at the residence.
During the call, an individual suggested that four people may have been injured in the shooting; however, when police arrived to the residence, they were unable to locate any victims.
Ernesto Rodriguez released the following statement on behalf of the Miami Police Department:
“At 12:40 in the afternoon we received a call on a non-emergency line. The individual advised us he had shot four people [at the residence] and requested police assistance. At this point we have not located any victims.”
Miami police now believe the call was a prank.
Lil Wayne was not home at the time of the call, according to Young Money’s official Twitter account.
