‘Scandal’ star Katie Lowes has announced that she’s expecting a son with husband Adam Shapiro.

“My husband and I are expecting our first baby,” a giddy Lowes, 35, announced on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” on Thursday. “And it’s a boy!”
The actress and her husband, Adam Shapiro, are having an interesting time picking out names for their little man.
“We have zero names. My husband’s a huge basketball fan, so for years we’ve been calling it LeBron,” she said. “When people come over the house, there’s a little bedroom next to our room, and we’ll say like, ‘Someday this is gonna be LeBron or LeBrona’s room!’”
She added, “Now we know it’s LeBron, but it’s not … ‘LeBron Shapiro’ doesn’t really — LeBron James is really good.”
Lowes also revealed that she didn’t have to announce her pregnancy to Shonda Rhimes.
“I told Shonda … and she said she already knew,” Lowes said. “She’s a genius. She knows everything that’s going on in the world … I think she’s in the editing room with us for hours looking at my face so she could tell I either had a really good weekend eating pizza and beer or I was pregnant.”
When it came to announcing the news to her castmates, it was a little more awkward.
“When I told Guillermo [Diaz], who plays Huck … and it was not great,” she admitted. “He came up to me out of the blue, we’re super-tight, and was like, ‘Yo, your boobs look super-big,’ and I was like, ‘I’m pregnant!’”
Katie Lowes is having a good week. First, her character ‘Quinn’ gets Pope & Associates — now she’s getting a baby! Congrats!
