What do you do when you’re trying to outrun the police but you’re also really hungry? If you’re Josh Adkins — you stop by the In-N-Out drive-thru.
via 12 News:
Police were following a white pickup on a fairly low-speed pursuit as he traveled on city streets in the south Phoenix and Ahwatukee areas.
Police say, officers attempted to pull over the driver of the pickup, Josh Adkins, just before 10:30 p.m.
Adkins had an outstanding warrant and did not stop for the officers, according to police.
He found his way to an In-N-Out near Chandler Boulevard and Ray Road. The truck sat near the ordering menu for several minutes before moving up to the service window.
Adkins was able to get out of the parking lot without being stopped by police, who were not seen on footage from Sky 12 near the restaurant.
Adkins eventually drove into the neighborhood near the In-N-Out and got out of his truck, heading to the backyard of a house.
Police helicopter lights followed him as he went, and he surrendered to officers behind the house.
Adkins was arrested and booked for his outstanding warrant and unlawful flight from law enforcement.
We hope it was worth it.
