H&M is still catching heat for making a Black boy model its ‘Coolest Monkey in the Jungle’ hoodie.
A group of South African protesters decided to trash a local H&M store to show just how upset they are.
In video shared via social media, the protesters can be seen knocking over clothing racks and destroying mannequins.
Video also shows protesters (from the Economic Freedom Fighters political party) blocking the entrance to the brand’s Johannesburg location in Clearwater Mall.
ABC reports that the police used rubber bullets to dispel the demonstration.
That @hm nonsense of a clothing store is now facing consequences for its racism. All rational people should agree that the store should not be allowed to continue operating in South Africa. Well done to Fighters who physically confronted racism. pic.twitter.com/cgdedYGoOj
