Britany Price is suffering from a broken nose and shattered cheek after McDonalds manager retaliated by throwing a blender at her face.
It should be noted that Britany threw food at the manager first after being unhappy with her drive-thru order.
“I wanted to get some Happy Meals and some cheeseburgers and that was a very unhappy day for me,” Price told NBC News in Cincinnati on Wednesday.
She is suing the Southwest Ohio McDonald’s where the incident occurred, but no criminal charges were filed.
According to Price, she had four hungry kids in the car who’d been waiting more than 25 minutes for their junk food order, which she said had been botched. Feeling she was being ignored by McDonald’s staffers, Price demanded a refund,then started tossing food over the counter. Security video shows a heavy projectile come flying back, sending the outraged customer crashing to the floor.
Price didn’t see a connection between her decision to throw burgers and fries into the fast food joint’s service area and her face being smashed in with a blender.
“I mean, I definitely don’t feel like there would have been a different result,” she said. “I feel like even if we would have just went verbal back and forth that it still would’ve escalated to something else.”
The McDonald’s manager is no longer with the company, according to the report, but that ex-staffer’s reaction was met with mostly positive reviews on NBC’s Twitter page.
“That manager should be employee of the month,” wrote one follower who was lovin’ it.
“Let us be honest here: We have all seen a customer overreacting in public and wished the manager would have countered with a small appliance to the dome,” tweeted another supporter.
