Say What Now? 24 Hour Fitness Is Charging Members While Gyms are Shut Down, Won’t Be Issuing Refunds

Popular gym chain 24 Hour Fitness is still charging members even though the coronavirus pandemic has forced all of its gyms to remain closed indefinitely.

Even though all locations closed nationwide on March 16, 24 Hour Fitness says that any payments auto-debited between March 17 and April 15 will NOT be refunded.

Instead, they plan to add an extra month on the back end of membership plans for anyone who paid for a month of no access.

24 Hour fitness says it will stop billing members on April 16, when it plans to reevaluate if it can reopen.

It may not sound like much, but people need their $30-$60 while we’re in the middle of this pandemic — not a free month of gym access sometime down the future.
