Now that Rihanna has released the first single to her upcoming album, expect the magazine covers to start rolling in.

We announced yesterday that Rihanna is scheduled to perform at next weekend’s Grammy Awards, and today sees the megastar channel ’90s swag on the cover of British magazine i-D.

Looking like a character straight out of Friday (or jail!), Rihanna rocks huge braids, hoop earrings and dark lipliner on the cover.

We can’t wait to see what Rihanna discusses in the issue.
