Omari Hardwick took to Instagram to pay his respects to the late Chadwick Boseman.
His choice of tribute, however, has caused a bit of a stir with people accusing Omari of making the moment about himself.
Omari began his tribute recalling one of their past interactions, but then his words took a different direction.
“One of my biggest honors was being one of your biggest competitors and an even bigger friend. You are HUGELY missed, but I got you next to me even more on the rest of this run,” he wrote.
“A wise man told me this morning…”In the Kingdom no crown is wasted. When one man drops his crown, another man picks it up. Pick it up O!” From king Chadwick to king Hardwick….i will do just THAT my brother. Rest in your glory “
Biggest competitors? No shade to Omari, but we don’t know about all of that.
Needless to say, the internet has been eating Omari up with the reactions:
So Omari Hardwick is crazy? A narcissist? His tribute to Chadwick was posting a video of himself accepting an award for Power, then gassing himself up by hallucinating that they were rivals.
When called out, he compared the person’s comment to the cancer that killed Chadwick. pic.twitter.com/d23au7ge8x

Omari thinking he was on the same level of Chadwick in the acting world really proves how delusional men really can be

That’s why he can only play sociopathic assholes chile. Omari don’t have the range to play nothing else. The nerve of him to think he’s on Chadwick’s level….
