NBA Lakers star Nick Young has reached a settlement with the woman who accused him of drugging and raping her in 2011.
Nick, who is now engaged to marry his longtime girlfriend Iggy Azalea, was reportedly sued for a hefty $3 million after the unnamed woman claimed that he slipped her a date rape drug at a Hollywood bar, took her to his home and sexually assaulted her.
At the time of the alleged incident, the woman was treated at the UCLA Santa Monica Rape Treatment Center, where it was determined that the injuries to her vagina and rectum were consistent with rape.
Now that Nick and the woman have reached a confidential settlement, the case against Nick has been dismissed.
As many news sites and blogs have pointed out, settling out of court does not indicate an admission of guilt, as there are a myriad of reasons why defendants may choose to settle out of court (high court costs, time commitments, etc.).
