Nick Cannon Slams Mariah Carey’s Reality Show, Says Her Relationship with Bryan Tanaka Is ‘Fake’

Nick Cannon spent several years as part of ‘Mariah’s World’ — but he says what we’re seeing on Mariah’s E! reality series isn’t exactly it.

While speaking to Howard Stern, Nick Cannon said that he believes the entire show is ‘fake’ and like a ‘soap opera’ — including Mariah’s relationship with dancer Bryan Tanaka.

via NYDN:

“First of all, I think the whole reality show is fake. I’m a producer, so you can’t have a well-lit private conversation,” he told Stern. “Like, that s— doesn’t happen. I don’t buy none of that s—.”

Cannon also had a few choice words for his ex’s blossoming romance with Tanaka, one of Carey’s backup dancers.

“They like, wrote that story,” he declared. “That s— is like a soap opera.”

Cannon said despite his feelings towards “Mariah’s World” and her relationship with Tanaka, he and the “Obsessed” singer speak every day.

“She gave me two amazing, beautiful gifts. We talk every day,” he said. “I love Mariah. I’ll never stop loving her.”

Cannon and Carey split in 2014 and finalized their divorce in 2016. The pair are parents to twins, daughter Monroe and son Moroccan.

Although Cannon thinks Tanaka and Carey’s romance is a match made in showbiz, the professional dancer previously said he’s always had a thing for Carey.

“I love her so much,” he told E!.

“Something connected with us back in the day, and there was just a mutual admiration,” he added. “It was set in history that we were gonna be connected some way, some how.”

He’s entitled to his opinion — right?
