After the final numbers were tallied, a lot more than $50 had been donated.

“Taco Bell Joe” was recently surprised at work with a check (with the memo “token of appreciation”) for the updated amount: $6,095.

“It’s my customers that I owe this to. They bring out the best in me. It’s them. I couldn’t do it without your help,” Deciccio said. “And I’m going to do my best to live up to it. And spark a light, a little candle in every heart of every person that I meet.”

70-years-old still working at Taco Bell after 20 years? Does Taco Bell have a retirement program? Bless his heart.
