Anna Wintour was overcome with emotion and couldn’t hide it as Michelle Obama joined her at the ribbon cutting ceremony for the new $40 million Anna Wintour Costume Center at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
Dressed in a Naeem Khan dress, Michelle comforted Anna as dozens of fashion icons looked on — including Marc Jacobs, Zac Posen, Victoria Beckham and Sarah Jessica Parker.
Anna’s daughter, Bee Shaffer, posted an image of the museum’s new wing, her mother’s name written above, to Instagram. ‘Now she’s in a museum!? This is a lot to live up to,’ she captioned.
