It’s somber Sunday for L.A. Dodgers player Yasiel Puig. He was arrested early this morning for reckless driving.
Yasiel was pulled over this morning in Collier County, Florida where cops say they clocked him at going 110 in a 70 MPH zone.
He was arrested for reckless driving and taken to the local jail.
In April, when he was still in the minors, Puig was charged with reckless driving and speeding after Chattanooga, Tenn., police clocked him going 97 mph in a 50 mph zone.
The charges were dismissed in November after Puig completed community service in Los Angeles.
Puig recently signed a $42 million, seven-year contract in June 2012, a record for a Cuban defector. He received a $12 million signing bonus and made $2 million last season.
He should probably slow down before something much worse happens. That’s entirely too much money being made to risk your life doing something stupid.
