Kris Jenner Says Social Media Is Partly to Blame for the End of ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’

The Kardashians have social media to thank for their careers, but it’s the same double-edged sword that ended their show after 20 seasons — according to Kris Jenner.

via Page Six:

“When we first started, there was no Instagram or Snapchat or other social media platforms,” she told WWD’s Beauty Inc. special issue. “The world has changed. Now there are so many [media options] … the viewer doesn’t have to wait three or four months to see an episode. We can give them all of the information anyone would ever want to know in real-time,” Jenner said.

“Social media is the fastest and most controlled way to get the message out.”

The show debuted in 2007 and will wrap after its 20th season on E! next year.

They’re lucky they were able to use TV to build brands to sustain them outside of the show so they don’t have to act a fool on reality TV for pennies their entire lives. The entire cast of ‘Love and Hip Hop: Whatever’ and other reality shows should be taking notes!
