In a real-life Love and Basketball moment, sources have confirmed to lovebscott.com that OKC player Kevin Durant is engaged to Minnesota Lynx player Monica Wright.
During the 4th of July holiday, Wright tweeted a bible verse about marriage, alluding to the surprising news.
“As a young man marries a young woman so will your Builder marry you as a bridegroom rejoices over his bride so will your God rejoice over u,” she shared.
The reason their union is being linked to the movie Love and Basketball is because Monica Wright is also the name of Sanaa Lathan’s character in the film who also happens to wear number 22. Crazy coincidence, right?
