Let’s face it — the Billboard Music Awards red carpet style leaves much to be desired.
It’s not glitzy like the Grammys, formal like the Oscars, or artsy like the Met Gala — it’s pretty much a free-for-all when it comes to fashion.
If you ask us, most of this year’s best-dressed were men — including Nick Jonas, John Legend, Ne-Yo and a few others.
Get into a few of our favorite looks below!
Ne-Yo
Ne-Yo brought his own red to the red carpet in a super bright suit. There’s already a lot going on with the double-breasted blazer, so we’re happy he decided to forego the tie and kept accessories to a minimum with a lapel pin. (Get the look: Lapel Pins, Ties.com)
Nick Jonas
Nick Jonas brought a semi-formal look to the carpet that we can honestly say we haven’t seen before. The singer flaunted his biceps in a fitted shirt accessorized with a single suspender. (Learn the look: Everything You Need to Know About Suspenders, Ties.com)
John Legend
John Legend has our favorite look of the night. The Gucci monogram blazer is tricky to pull off, but John kept it plain and simple with light pants and clean sneakers. He added a touch of elegance to his shoes by keeping the laces crisp and white. (Get the Look: Shoelaces, Ties.com)
Quavo
Migos frontman (depending who you ask) Quavo kept things extra causal for the Billboard Music Awards in a graphic Dolce & Gabbana t-shirt. He jazzed it up with his choice of blinged-out accessories. It’s simple, but it works. With the right accessories (bling or no bling), you can really make any outfit pop. (Get the Look: Accessories, Ties.com)
