While many of us were holding our breath for a Rihanna appearance at last night’s BET Awards, Rihanna decided that she’d rather spend time with her father.

She took her dad to her favorite restaurant, Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica. If you’ve been following Rihanna on Twitter, then you know she’s really into the World Cup. She showed her support for Mexico’s team by wearing a bright green jacket over her black ensemble.
