Yesterday was a pretty big day for Brandy — she became an honorary member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority!

Brandy, alongside her AKA mom Sonja Norwood, flew to North Carolina for the organizations 66th Boule in celebration of their 106th year of sisterhood where she was inducted.

She posted a photo to Instagram along with the caption:

Today was a very special day. I became and honorary member of #AlphaKappaAlpha! I made this very special lady proud. @sonjanorwood -My moms legacy as an #AKA continues. Love to all of my #Sorors #sisterhood #ethics #strength #class #leadership #intellect #power #LOVE
