Bad Bunny fans were up in arms Saturday night when the rapper didn’t perform at the American Music Awards despite promoting that he would be — but now we know why.
On Monday, Bad Bunny’s reps confirmed he pulled out of the performance at the last minute because he has COVID-19.
Despite not performing, he still participated in the show virtually by announcing the winner for Favorite Female Artist in the Latin category. He also took home two awards in the Latin category forĀ Favorite Male Artist and Favorite Album.
