Keisha Lance Bottoms has the coronavirus.
The Mayor of Atlanta, who is reportedly in the running to become presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden’s running mate in the 2020 election, said Monday that she has tested positive for COVID-19.
“COVID-19 has literally hit home,” she said in a tweet. “I have had NO symptoms and have tested positive.”
As we’ve seen on social media, Atlanta has decided to act as if the coronavirus isn’t serious. Clubs are packed, people are having parties, and social distancing isn’t much of a requirement as other parts of the country.
We wonder if that will change now.
