16-year-old Alexis Carter, now known to the world as ‘Prom Bat’ says she’s afraid to go out in public after being cyber-bullied by her former idol, Rihanna.
Alexis swept social media last week after a photo surfaced of her prom dress. She attended her Hollywood-themed prom channeling Rihanna’s Alexandre Vauthier Couture green jumpsuit from the 2010 ECHO Awards.
Unfortunately for her, the execution was less Rihanna and more… super hero.
Once the pic hit, it took over Twitter and caught Rihanna’s attention. Rih tweeted a side-by-side comparison photo along with a sad smiley face.
Rihanna also posted a side-by-side of the girl next to the Wu-Tang symbol.
Now Alexis feels like she’s a victim of cyber bullying. She tells The Baltimore Sun that she’s hurt by Rihanna’s actions and is afraid to show her face in public.
“I was very offended,” Alexis said of Rihanna’s tweets. “Why throw shade on it when you had on the exact same thing. The poses was different but the outfit wasn’t.”
She added,
“She [Rihanna] don’t love her fans like she says she does,” Alexis said.
