After months of anticipation, the trailer for Spike Lee’s upcoming film Chi-Raq has finally premiered online.

The film, whose title has caused quite the controversy, stars Teyonah Parris, Angela Bassett, Jennifer Hudson, Samuel L. Jackson, Nick Cannon, John Cusack and a bevy of other talented actors.

Chi-Raq is based on the Greek comedy Lysistrata by Aristophanes and centers on the prevalent gang violence in parts of Chicago.

Chi-Raq is scheduled for limited release on December 4 and will later be released on Amazon Instant Video.
